Visualizing the effects of procurement on national progress (using the Social Progress Index)

#1

Title of the project : Visualizing the effects of procurement on national social progress (using the Social Progress Index)

Project idea (elevator pitch) : In order to help decision makers in procurement, we will join two datasets (World Bank and Social Progress Imperative) to evaluate the impacts of procurements on progress

Available datasets used : World Bank data ; Social Progress Index

Challenge relevance

  • Transparency of international organizations budgets

#2

Our team (Leila, Hamza, Xavier, Fedor) proposed an initial draft how to visualise the joined datasets.

When hovering above a country, you can see the joined and aggregated information for this country. Right now, the data is still mocked and not retrieved from the datasets.

Next steps will be the integration of the data sources (replacing the mocks), and finding correlations between SPI and World Bank data.
